Here’s a post of mine which, although not neccessarily intellectually deep or profound, certainly had a real-world effect beyond what might reasonably have been expected.

It played a not insignificant role in having the “artwork” removed.

Melbourne Anti-semitism Watch – this time it’s official!

Since I’m Jewish and I’m rather proud of this post – and the work that went into it – I’m going to nominate it. The topic itself is not Jewish, but I would submit that the analysis very much is. (Plus, it received considerable attention in the blogosphere, demonstrating the value of interfaith bloganalysis.)

I want to nominate Spiritual Imprinting by Rishon Rishon but The Valley of Sex is great too, and I don’t want to split the vote.

Anon, how about be redact our entries and make Spiritual Imprinting and The Valley of Sex into a series?

Then I could nominate Maladapted to Our Habitat for best individual post?

    Could we do that, Israellycool?

Shuldn’t be a problem, but the anonymous commenter who nominated the other posts would need to agree to this

Thanx– ok, anon? are you out there? OK with you?

Israellycooldave, what if s/he doesn’t check back?

    Another shameless self-nomination:

Tough to pick one, but I’ll go with this somewhat sappy post:

    Burnt Offerings

Dave, I’m right with you, bro. Here’s a shameless self-nomination from me about a post that I authored and published on my site, Smooth Stone, entitled

“To Hell with Arab Hatred”, which went around the world via emails and forum boards back in May and June 2004.

OY VEY. I meant to say, Solomon. Please forgive me, it’s been a long day. :/

  19. Anonymous says:

Egad. I yucked it up again. The post is called To hell with Arab outrage.

Ok. Lesson learned. No more self-promotion. :)

Due to a technical limitation with the polling system, the URL of this post (http://religion-society.blogspot.com/2004/11/from-prophetic-to-prosaic-revising-nae.html) has to be shortened significantly, or otherwise this nomination cannot be included in the voting.

If the blogger in question can republish this post, but give it a much shorter title, then this problem may be overcome.
