And the Worst Use of the Word “Suspect” Award goes to..The Associated Press with this story:

San Diego Police Discover Corpse in Suspect’s Vehicle

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Police found a corpse wrapped in a blanket in the back of a sport utility vehicle belonging to a man who allegedly told a relative he was driving to Mexico with his estranged wife’s body.

Dante Caldejon, 50, was arrested Monday by police who approached the SUV at a visitor information center, said San Diego police Lt. Jim Duncan. Caldejon directed officers to the body, police said.

I would have thought that driving around with the actual corpse may promote you from being a mere “suspect” to “the culprit.” But maybe that’s just me.
