Wishful Thinking

D’oh! I just got really excited at this headline:

Suspected Arafat Assassin in Custody

Unfortunately, no-one killed Afatrat. Here is what happened:

A 23-year-old Jerusalem resident described by authorities as mentally unstable remains in custody. Last week, he hired an Arab taxi driver to take him to Ramallah, where police believe he wanted to assassinate Yasser Arafat. The alleged assassin was taken into custody at the A-Ram Checkpoint bordering the northern capital. He has since been sent for psychological evaluation.

Mentally unstable? Desiring Afatrat’s death sounds very normal to me.

i’d say it’s the police who need the psychological evaluation… maybe if they had turned a blind eye… ah, wishful thinking!

The kid should be awarded the Nobel Peace prize..

But don’t worry, I reckon Arafat’s lips will shake him to death if they don’t fall off first…
