I'm glad you posted this, but the point everyone keeps missing is simply that the ones who behead their captives (and commit many other crimes in the name of their "god") simply do not share in any way the values that we hold. And one of their chief charges against Jews is precisely that we "love life" too much. Some Jewish commentators hold that the commandment not to murder is actually a commandment not to kidnap.
