There is no doubt that there must be a reaction, and I think a severe one. Otherwise, Israel will lose all of her deterrence. What are the options in the current political climate?Secondly, what will the situation look like after the withdrawal from Gaza? What happens if kassam rockets or a more powerful equivalent (katiusha)will be fired from the Weset Bank towards main population center over the fence?Without a properly established deterrent I'm affraid that the violence will escalate very fast.
