More Wishful Thinking

It pays to read the news carefully.

I was very close to opening the champagne bottle when I read this AP headline:

Arafat Critic Wounded As Violence Grows

No, David, it does not say Arafat Critically Wounded!

Why do I get the feeling I have made this mistake before?

I guess I will have to save the champagne for another day.

    Unless you’re really low on Champagne, I say break it open anyway. Something good must have happened today. And anything good is a good reason to break open a nice bottle of bubbly — even if it’s French.
