Sad for Saddam

One of Saddam Insane’s lawyers has reportedly claimed that Saddam has suffered a stroke.

Jordanian lawyer Mohammed al-Rashdan, one of an international team of lawyers preparing to defend Saddam, told The Mirror newspaper in England that a brain scan had indicated the stroke.

“Our information is that he’s in very poor health,” Mr al-Rashdan said.

“We believe [Saddam] could die because of his health problems,” Mr al-Rashdan said from Amman, Jordan.

And if the stroke doesn’t kill him, something else might.

“We also think an attempt may be made on his life. We’re worried that we won’t have a client.

It is nice to see that the prospect of Saddam being killed worries his lawyers for the sole reason that they will lose a client. No wonder he hired them – they are almost as ruthless as he is.

Shame – maybe he could be helped on his way using some of the medieval torture devices that his sons liked to use…

I wonder if his illness is similar to the same one Arafat had that was supposed to be “very serious”?
