Turning Her (Fur-Coat Laden) Back on PETA

Supermodel Cindy Crawford likes wearing a mole above her lip so much, that she has decided that she may wear one on her back.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has dealt a blow to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) movement by becoming spokeswoman for fur giant Blackglama. Ten years ago, the former wife of Richard Gere posed for PETA’s ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur’ campaign, but has followed in Naomi Campbell’s footsteps by wearing fur again.

While I don’t support the killing of animals for fur, I must say that upsetting PETA seems like a noble cause.

Peta may be a bunch of freeks but the fur industry is worse.

They simply slaughter animals wholesale often while they’re still alive skinning them and often babies in the case of seals for their fur simply for profit. Women don’t wear fur because its warm and the rest of the animal is not utilized for food and sustenance its simply a skin for dollars.

That being the case and the fact that I really don’t like the way woman look in fur either, its tacky and cheesey 80′s, then Crawford posing for a fur company simply for money is pretty disgusting especially since she theoretically knows full well about the disgusting excesses and disregard of the industry.

Just because Peta are over the top freekshows often, that doesn’t have anything to do with the validity of some of their points.
