The Key to His HeartHead

More odd news from Israel.

A 25-year-old Israeli man showed up fully conscious at a hospital with a car key inserted in his temple, the Yediot Aharonot daily reported.

The key, which ended up in the man’s skull during a brawl, came close to making contact with his brain but was successfully extracted at Naharya hospital in northern Israel.

The key can be clearly seen embedded in the man’s skull in an X-ray published by the paper.

Ok, this is odd, but what is even odder is the picture that accompanies this story.

What AFP are trying to suggest about the size of an Israeli cranium, I will leave for you to decide.

You know the cranium of a Homo neandertalensis (neandertal) was 1400-1600 cubic cm, while Homo Sapiens only have 1350. So size isn’t always everything, Dave ;)
