Kofi to World: I’m Here to Stay

Aussie Dave

UN Secretary General Kofi “Monkey Cloud” Annan won’t resign, despite the fact that he is under immense pressure over the UN’s supervision of Iraqi oil sales under the Hussein regime:

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, under fire for his part in the controversial Iraqi oil-for-food program, said in an interview with London’s Financial Times today that he did not intend to resign.

“I think resignation is comparatively easy,” Annan told the journalist who asked him if he considered resigning.

So do it!

“It is much more difficult to stay on and continue to do the job you are elected to do, and focus on the important agenda of the organisation and the membership.”

Yes, that important agenda. It is hard work passing all of those resolutions condemning Israel…but someone has to do it.
