Hi David. It’s me, Lindsay. Happy to make your day there. I may be mistaken, but ISTR that I read this blog and you are pontificating against the settlers who were agitating against being forced out of Gaza, and calling them idiots? And I think you said, I don’t care about the settlers? Anyway, I originally stuck you in the general enemy category but then I decided to divide the enemies into 2 factions, because the Jewschool folks are too lovable and Leftie to hate too much. I threw you into the “less insulting” faction as a favor, actually, and because I felt guilt over how I insulted you. But I can always change my mind! One more thing, I do not hate the Shoes! I am wearing Shoes at this moment actually. Some of my best friends are Shoes, especially these sneakers I have on right now. Nor do I have anything against the Shrewish People. Ever since I saw the play, “The Taming of the Shrew”, I have had a deep love for the Shrews and realized that they need a homeland for themselves somewhere in the woods where weaselly Arabs won’t eat them. Anyway, you are always welcome at my humble abode but pls show respect by removing your kippa before you enter. Peace out!
And I’m a likudnik. The guy’s a shmuck who can’t even read a FAQ page and figure out that I’m probably as left-wing as he is on some issues.

Hey, he’s got me under “Free Palestine,” which is something I support but not quite in the same way as most of the others in that category. I think there may be a Doppler shift going on here.
Hi Lindsay again. So nice to meet some real life Shoeish people! I love the Shoes, I really do, I am not a Shoe-hater and I don’t love Adolf. Anyway, I have immense respect for the HeadHeeb (apparently Edelstein) one of these days I want to do a review on your blog. I deliberately left Heeb out of the Enemy category, because, though he is technically a Leftist Zionist (contradiction) he is about the coolest type of Zionist I can think of.
All I can say is, if all Zionists were like the Heeb, there would be a lot less violence in the Middle East. And surely your “free palestine” is not too far from the rest of the links. Anyway, I thought of a special category for the Heeb, like, “Zionists Who Are Not Dicks” but for the Heeb, it was either “Enemy” category or “Palestine” category. He’s not far from Gush Shalom anyway, Hell.
Well Golly gee, Meryl! Are you or are you not a Likudnik? If not, then you are some sort of a Labor Zionist? Is there some other Enemy category you would like to plunk yourself down in? WRT to the kippa joke, for Chrissake, there is no need to lapse into Shrewish paranoia and kneejerk “Anti-Termite” name-calling. I do not hate any of the Termitic Peoples, neither the Shrews or the Scarabs or the Turds or Cops or the Barbers or even the Marionettes or any of the other racist desert tribes out there.

Sorry, last time I was on your blog was ages ago. I guess I could make a Zionist Enemy – Meretz Faction specially for you, but it seems awfully cruel for such a cool guy. I like to cultivate what few sane voices there are in the Jewish Zionist community. There’s like this massive cesspool of Jewish Zionists out there to beat up, so why should I attack one of the few decent ones?
Nell Lancaster, who is a commenter on my blog and is considerably to my left (and who, as far as I know, isn’t Jewish), would be very surprised to learn that she’s married to me. I’ve been married for five years to a Jewish woman named Naomi, who is pretty much apolitical. I also don’t believe my views have changed much over the past two years – I’ve shifted from opposing Sharon categorically to pragmatically supporting his Gaza withdrawal plan, but only as a first step – but your mileage may vary.
Lindsay: Ok, I just glanced at your blog and got the women mixed up. So Nell, a woman considerably to the Left of you (Boy would I like to read her stuff!) has got you posting a “pro-Likud” post in order to differentiate yourself from her or she has you realizing that you are to the Right of her. Your wife – apolitical – I never even knew you were married – fine, long as she’s a good cook and doesn’t complain much.
But let’s leave her out for now. So you went from totally opposing Sharon (Bully for you!) to “supporting the phony Gaza ‘withdrawl’ ‘formaldehyde’ game as a pragmatic first step”. Well big deal. Look, I am so inundated with obnoxious Jewish Zionists (much to the Right of you) 24-7 that I will take a “Zionist” like you any day of the week. And ya, you do seem to have evolved just a tad.
You seem to have moved a bit to the Right since a while back, but you are still in way-cool land as far as Zionist Jews go. We really don’t meet many like you round these parts. We really need more….I suggest you read my hero George Habash (PFLP founder) “Palestine Between Dreams and Reality” 2000, where he spends a lot of time complimenting the Israeli Left on what little baby steps they have made. I’m a PFLP supporter BTW, and I also the Jewish Peoples Liberation Organization (Bund). No need to pick fights in this world for no reason…
For the record, the post you’re thinking of was written by one of my guest posters rather than me, and the part about blaming Nell was an in-joke.
BTW, all the gratuitous “Shoes” and “Shrewish” stuff is pretty offensive, and I’m not someone who gets offended easily. You might want to take a step back and try listening with someone else’s ears.
I have to admit that I thought the first message from “Lindsay” was just a joke by some anonymous prankster. But now I see this was really from Lindsay, and it is no joke.
You need help. Seriously. And I am not just talking about your mental health. You are supposedly a journalist, yet your writing is something out of primary school.
