Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe explains how Zimbabwe’s poll was free, credible and reflected the will of the people
“You have to understand that people in Zimbabwe are free to vote for whoever they like. I just encourage them to vote for me..with some gentle persuasion”
“If I see a potential voter, I grab the person around the neck, and explain that it would be nice if they voted for me”
“Then I slap them around a bit with the back of my hand”
“If they still refuse, my men slice off their fingers”
“If that doesn’t work, I order my men to aim a gun at their head”
