Anyone visiting Israel might be interested in going to the Gangaroo, an open space kangaroo zoo. They’ve also got some koalas but they barely move during daylight hours.
The kangaroos are fascinating. You can walk among them and pet them. The zoo guides are around to give small talks about kangaroos and wallabies.
Gangaroo is located just off of the Jordan Valley highway, south of Beit Sha’an, on the same road that leads to Gan Hashlosha (Sachneh). An average visit with children should last from 1 to 2 hours.

"This guy is so funny but that's only because everything he says is the TRUTH" - Chava Ayanna
"Your blog and work along with are doing more to expose antisemitism than any org I know" - Ambrosin Shitrit
"..the notorious Israellycool.com, which gently skips between right-wing rants against Islam, posts about science fiction and - what else? - blogs about the Eurovision song contest." - Tim Jonze, The Guardian
"..the liar & moral pygmy who writes Israellycool & makes feeble attempts to ridicule my views" - Dick Silverstein
Because they’ll get stuffed?
Because it’ll lead to alements?
Because it’s illegal to Foster koalas?
I give up!
Shy Guy
This photo raises another question:
Do koalas have an intuitive intelligence to use mobile phones?
With their posterior legs, no less.

He definitely has a bright future with those sincere button eyes and new age spiked fur. Thanks Scott!
