When Doesn’t He Lie?

A couple of days ago, I noted another Sheikh Taj Aldin al-Hilali “contradiction”, after he claimed that the raid which freed Australian hostage Douglas Wood had endangered the live of two Iraqi hostages..after previously claiming that he had an important part in the rescue. Now, thanks to Tim Blair, I see that the bovine excrement rating of Hilali’s latest claim has reached the usual high levels.
Claims by a senior Sydney Muslim cleric that Iraqi forces risked the lives of two hostages during the rescue of Douglas Woods has been questioned – because the pair were murdered last month. The men, Faris Shakir and Adel Farhaway Najm, who were snatched with Mr Wood in April, were shot after being tortured.
Their bodies were dumped in a rubbish tip in mid-May. Their corpses were held by police and their families identified them on June 17. They were immediately buried.Despite this, Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilaly yesterday continued to insist that he was still seriously worried about the two men.“He’s quite concerned for those other two people, people who were friends of Douglas Wood, people who had worked with Douglas Wood, people who used to invite him into their homes,” his spokesman Keysar Trad said.
You have to love watching this theatre of the absurd. Hilali entered the picture with the transparent goal of improving his image and painting himself as a hero. Instead, he has revealed himself to be the liar we already knew he was.

Damn I was hoping they would exchange shiekh Hilali for woods in a deal with the kidnappers. A win-win solution!
Better yet Hilali could have “conveniently” perished in the cross fire during the exchange.
Perhaps he’s still worried about Yasser Arafat’s ‘serious but stable condition’.
