Out of Context

I know I shouldn’t bother, but I can’t help myself.

Our friend dAWK manages to show his one-sidedness and sloppiness with this effort.

His implication is clear – the army are in cahoots with Jewish “settlers” throwing rocks at PLO Arabs.

The problem is that if he had bothered checking the caption that accompanied photos of this incident, he would have found the following:

Jewish settlers take cover behind an army jeep as an army soldier tries to prevent a settler from throwing stones during clashes with Palestinian near a Palestinian house that was taken over by Jewish settlers in recent days near the Jewish settlement of Shirat Hayam, in the Gush Katif bloc of settlements Wednesday June 29, 2005.

Besides, I think it is quite obvious to everyone at the moment that the army is doing the residents of Gush Katif no favors.

Leaving aside the fact that we don’t know for sure who cast the first stone, I also find it interesting (but not at all surprising) that dAWK would pounce on this rare instance of Jews throwing rocks at PLO Arabs while hiding behind an IDF jeep, yet ignore the countless times that PLO Arab terrorists throw rocks and molotov cocktails at Jews, while hiding behind children and other innocent civilians.

So he smells of stupidity and hypocracy what else is new?

Well in this particular case, the soldier attempted to bodily defend the downed injured Arab but some goon in a blue t-shirt came straight up from around the corner, hit the Arab with one or two stones again and took off back where he came from. I hope they catch him and max his sentence.

Other than that particular fact, dAWK is full of it, as always.
