<strong>Jennings</strong>

Never watched the guy, never cared to, but I did read Lair’s retrospective so I’m not so clueless. Very interesting what Israelly Cool dug up. Not surprised by either of their revelations.

Mr. Jennings was a right bastard, a sorry excuse for a journalist. Based on his relationship with Hanan Ashrawi alone, he should have recused himself from any coverage of the Mideast due to his inability to be a disinterested party.

I will not mourn him.

Dave... Thanks for doing a sterling bit of research and analysis to pull this together. There are a lot of kids out there who were too young to remember him from his early days. Becase he cut his broadcasting teeth during a time when people trusted their news anchors (and were therefore less used to thinking critically), Jennings was able to take advantage of that trust, and ultimately proved himself unworthy of it.
