With regards to PSYCHO: I think the skeleton found in the basement of the house is not the one of Janet Leigh’s character but the one of Norman Bates’ (Anthony Perkins) mother…

My all-time shocker is to hear Gene Kelly singing “Singin’ in the Rain”, thx to A Clockwork Orange.

Shocking moment – in Pulp Fiction John Travolta and Samuel Jackson are just casually chatting in the car with the kid in the back then an extravagant hand-gesture is made and BLAM the gun goes off and the kid is killed. I went to the movie a second time, just to watch the audience’s faces as this happened – very, very impressive.

Of course, Spielberg too is a master of shock upon shock – all the Indiana Jones movies have it, but another favourite is in Jurassic Park – there’s this guy quietly sitting in the john when a T-Rex comes along and bites his head off – not a dry seat in the house that night, I can tell you.
