Want to Host This Year’s JIBs? Part Two
October 09, 2005 | Aussie Dave | Comments 3
Over a month ago, I asked if anyone wanted to host the Jewish and Israeli Blog Awards (the JIBs). With the promise of increased traffic and the honor of exposing an assortment of Jewish, Israeli, and pro-Israel blogs to the world, I would have thought that I would get some response. But what did I get?
Nada. Nil. Ephes. Zero. Zilch.
Operating under the assumption that none of you want to write a post in order to ‘win’ the right to host the JIBs, I am going to make it a lot easier. In the comments to this post, write why you should host the JIBs. The winner will be announced by the end of this month.
I would host the JIBs again, but:
1. The feedback I received last year indicated that people wanted a “revolving” host system.
2. I don’t think I am going to have the time this year.
If I get no response to this, I will either coerce someone to do it, or perhaps there will be no JIBS this year.

What does it entail? (Many of us have been blogging less than a year…)
It entails getting the nominations, organizing the polls by setting up a sophisticated polling system like Advance Poll, and organizing logos. You can see the posts from last year’s awards here. I would be available to answer questions and give advice.
It is a lot of work, I won’t lie. But it was fun to do, and well worth it.
Didn’t DB just do that (see my award here.)?
Ok ok, I can offer to help.
