Supporting the Terrorists

I always perceived the blog Rafah Pundits as the product of some misguided, left-wing Israelis. And I think it was. Which made their lamenting of the death of terrorist Mohammed Sheikh Khalil that more upsetting to me – prompting me to remind the authors about the fruits of Khalil’s labors.
This prompted the following email from Zippy.
HiYou may remember some exchanges we had on our blogs when I was writing on Rafahpundits. I’d hate you to think that Rachel and I were still writing on that blog it is now totally palestinian run. I agree wholeheartedly with your comment.
So Jewschool and any other Jewish blogs that profess to have Israel’s interests at heart, while carrying Rafah Pundits on your blogroll. Please take note and act accordingly.
And thank you Zippy for dissociating yourself from a blog that supports the murder of innocent people.

um, can you show me where in that post they lamented his death? or praised him? or stated anything on than facts, including the fact that he attacked civilians?

i just read the comments — they weren’t written by the rafah pundits staff. they were written by visitors to the site. do you hold haaretz responsible for the comments left on its website?

Now if you were going to write an Obit for an “Israeli War criminal” like Sharon or someone… then Mobius might have to bust him up some.

I see what Mobius is saying but I feel that post was made as an obituary and one that, if you read between the lines, was honouring him. I also thought that Um Khalil picked up the post and referenced it in the same way, as in “this is a sad day for Palestine”
No matter how much I suport Palestinian self-determination and no matter how often often I point out that targeted killings are illegal (whoever does them including the UK police) if the person who murdered the Hatuels get’s it then I *might* criticise the method but I’m not going to shed any tears. Nor would I have if I was still posting on RP.
Mike – You are right, I did pick this person. I thought it better that the blog was run by a moderate Palestinian from Rafah, a young secular man who has lived in Rafah all his life and is educated to a degree standard. While I was blogging I never had to delete comments except one of yours (which was just slow to be moderated and was let through eventually) now the whole thing looks messy and your comments don’t even look extreme ffs! Well, not all of them
Mobius is right, the post does not actually say anyhting in his favour but I, personally, have to agree I think that’s the way it was written.
We’ll have to give the new guy some time but I’m on the record on as not giving a fuck that the man who was responsible for killing the Hatuels (if he was responsible) was killed, however he was killed. And I certainly won’t be sending flowers.

well that’s comforting then… so far he touts everything Hamas says including the comedy that Israel was responsible for the machismo parade deaths which they then had to reply to by shooting more rockets into Israel…. ya know even the mafia liars in the PA said it was Hamas’s fault…
And sorry if I had the tamarity to find it a little disgusting that a flattering obit is written about anyone who shoots little girls in their face from point blank range and films it for a trophy…
Again I’m not as hip as Mobious though…. I don’t write raps and say nigga and mfucker a lot… about the ‘power’ or at least about Israelis to show how ‘open minded’ I am.
