Can’t Be Serious

This is one the funniest parody blogs I have seen in a while.   I mean, you have posts like this: There were over 10,000 Satmer chasidim sitting at the dinner and The Rebbe told Mr. Luchins to tell Senator Moynahan that he and along with all of his people oppose the sale of the [...]

Fear and Loathing

Lisa has an extremely well written, thought-provoking post. Which doesn’t surprise me, because I consider her to be probably the best writer in the Anglo-Israeli blogosphere. I am also saying this as someone who has very different political views.   In her post, Lisa describes the part that ignorance plays in sowing the seeds of [...]

Israellycool Podcast #25

Israellycool Podcast #25 is now up on my podcast site.   On the show, I discuss the new intro, mainstream media’s latest low, Iran’s statement of intent, nazi twins, and the new James Bond.

What If..

When I read about all the limp condemnations made in the wake of the Iranian President’s statement of intent, I couldn’t help but think that this would likely also be the world’s response if, G-d forbid, Iran made good on their promise. Iran’s destruction of Israel today drew condemnation from Western countries. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey [...]

Capturing the Grief

Yesterday’s suicide bomb in Hadera killed 5 people, and injured at least 30 others. That means many, many families have been bereaved and affected by this vicious act of murder. Many tears have been shed for the innocent Israeli victims, and will continue to be shed.   You would think, therefore, that a mainstream media [...]

Anti-Semitism Explained

Reader Laura writes: Hey Dave,   I often find myself confused as to why anyone would point their fingers and pin blame on an entire people. It’s like waking up one day and deciding, at random, that anyone who speaks (let’s say, Finnish) is evil and out to ruin our world and therefore must be [...]

Who’s Hiding Under the Podium?

Who else saw this photo and immediately thought of the famous podium scene in Police Academy?

Peaceful Bunch

I get the feeling they don’t like us. Iran’s hard-line president called for Israel to be “wiped off the map” and said a new wave of Palestinian attacks will destroy the Jewish state, state-run media reported Wednesday.   Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also denounced attempts to recognize Israel or normalize relations with it.   “There is no [...]

Explosion in Tel Aviv

An explosion has occurred in a Tel Aviv apartment, killing three people and wounding several others. Currently, police officials are unsure whether or not it was the result of a terror attack.   Update: Now it seems it may have been related to an underworld dispute.
