Political Waves in Israel
The big news here in Israel has been Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s decision to leave the Likud party, and form his own centrist party.
Sharon met with President Katsav, informing him that he intends to dissolve the Knesset, and then promptly resigned from the Likud. He is slated to hold a press conference 7:30 tonight. [...]
