Nominations are now open for the following categories:
To nominate a blog for a particular category, click on the relevant category link. You will be taken to a post with instructions. In most cases, you will need to leave the blog name and hyperlinked URL in the comments to the relevant category post. Failure to adhere to the correct format will result in the nomination being ignored.
Rules
1. You can nominate a blog in more than one category. However, you should only nominate a blog in a category if it is appropriate. For example, please do not nominate a very new blog for Best Overall.
2. A blog should only be nominated once in a category. So before nominating a blog, conduct a quick “find” to determine whether or not it has already been nominated.
3. A blog nomination will be deemed invalid if:
- Either Aussie Dave or the Jerusalem Post staff determine that it does not truly belong to its nominated category.
- The blog nomination is not made in the required form pursuant to rule 6 below.
4. A blog is ineligible for being nominated if, although it is written by a Jewish blogger, the content of the blog is virulently anti-Israel, or even anti-Semitic. The test is “Is this [blog] considered anti-Israel/anti-Semitic by the layperson, regardless of his/her political orientation?”
The above does not include blogs which contain earnest discussion about the merits of certain Israeli policies.
The above does not include blogs which contain earnest discussion about the merits of certain Israeli policies.
5. Israellycool and the Israellycool Podcast are ineligible for being nominated.
6. A blog nomination must be in the required form:
- Blog name (or name of best post/best series)
- Hyperlinked URL
Example:
Israellycool
Israellycool
7. If your blog is nominated but you do not want it to be in the voting, please send me an email (israellycool-[at]-yahoo-[dot]-com) with your blog name, URL, and a clear statement that you do not wish to be nominated. Otherwise, all nominated blogs will be considered potential entrants.
8. While we endeavor to include all nominated blogs in the voting rounds, this is not possible due to resource constraints. Therefore, only 40 nominated blogs per category will progress to the preliminary voting round. If a category contains in excess of 40 valid nominations, the Jerusalem Post and Israellycool retain the right to determine which blogs progress.
9. Nominations close at 9:00pm (Israel time) Sunday, December 18th.

David:
Please just delete all of the “incorrectly formatted” nominations/posts that I left. Sorry it took me so long to get it right.
Yehuda
Quick questions on all of the categories… when you say they have to include Jewish/Israeli themes, does that mean predominantly? For example, let’s take the Political category – does it have to be someone who focuses on Israel politics, or even someone who just discusses it occasionally?
Predominantly
Dave, my friend nominated me. It may not be in the correct format. Please fix for me good Sir.
Max @ http://www.nicejewishboy.net
How can I re-format my incorrectly formatted nominations? Could you fix these for me, or do I need to go back and do something?
Please delete my improperly formatted submissions. I have resubmitted with complete URLs.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I’d like to see a new category: Righteous Gentiles
These would be comprised of Non-Jewish bloggers who are advocates for Judaism and/or Israel
How about a “most missed blog” ?
e.g., Tal’s

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! (Dave! Dave! Dave!) …and I love the new JIB Awards logo!
Keep up the great work!
Mmmmwaaaah! XXXXXXX
Could someone FOR THE LOVE OF GOD explain how to get a URL attached to the comment???
Clickiing the icon above (second from the right) isn’t doing it.
Hello? McFly???
David, I think you should eliminate the whole hyperlink thing. You are assuming that everyone who reads blogs knows what hyperlinks are. Most people don’t know any html whatsoever. It’s really chaval.
Peace bro’
