Since this is the awards season, I thought I would announce a few today.

…goes to Israeli Cabinet Secretary Yisrael Maimon, who had this to say about Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

“He looks excellent.”
He looked far from excellent before the stroke, so I doubt he looks better now.

Prime Minister Sharon Has Stroke

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has been rushed to Hadassah hospital in Ein Kerem, Jerusalem, after having apparently suffered a minor stroke. He is reportedly in a stable condition.

According to Channel 2 television, 77-year-old Sharon was taken to Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem, after complaining of feeling unwell.

JIB Awards 2005: Nominations Closed

Nominations for the JIB Awards have now officially closed.
 
Over the course of the next few weeks, both the Jerusalem Post and I will go over all the nominations and determine their validity. If any category has more than 40 valid nominations, the number will be cut to 40.
