I just realize only "best series" is not working. Is it broken?

Thanks for all the hard work Dave! And great move NOT showing the results anymore until voting is completed. I thought it should have been done that way all along. It will keep things a little more relaxed this way. BTW any chance in producing a "Finalist" gif like you did last year - for those that made it to the finals? Kol Tuv!

Dave,

Last year's contest was really a great opportunity for me to find a lot of blogs that I would not have otherwise read. Several of them, including some that did not go on to become "winners", I still read.

So, when my blog got nominated in three categories (and I do not know how that process worked), I was very excited. Naturally, I told everyone, and proudly posted the nominee graphic. I am even more proud that, in the category that most mattered to me, Israel Advocacy, I made it to the final round of voting.

It does not matter to me that also in this category are blogs that have more readers online at most hours of the day than I have all day. To be recognized in such company is an honor.

This may sound like I simply am trolling for votes, but I am not. In fact, today I went an posted a long message extolling the virtues some of the "competition".

Besides, my traffic has gone up, and that is good. It is good for me, because, although I was writing the same amount when I had ten readers a week, I would rather have more. It is good for Jblogs in general, because I link to others, including some I do not always agree with.

The first time I stumbled across Israellycool was when I was reading someone's rant and decided the site they were ranting about sounded better than their site. I have forgotten what the other site was, but I doubt they are partnered with the Jerusalem Post.

I want you to know that some of us really appreciate what you have done, the work and time you have put in, and the irritation you have suffered. I am sorry you have to put up with so many of the web's little irritants (what I call chiggers). I hope you realize that they are not the majority, just the noisiest, sometimes.

So, thank you, again. No matter if I get another vote or not or if I am ever nominated again, I am looking forward to next year's awards.

You are not going to be happy unless you can play the victim, are you.

You still on about this? You clearly are just trying to drive traffic to your site. I encourage my readers to ignore this latest begging for attention, and not visit your site.

Here Dave provides further ammunition that the purpose of JIBA is to promote a "pro-Israel" ideological goal. Not to mention that he's finally cottoned on to the fact that LGF is going to win whatever category he's in because mediocrity with mass readership is gonna win JIBA every time.

All of your readers including Dave himself are welcome to come visit & raise a ruckus as you did last time.

Very well said Dave. I have to tell you, I admire your fortitude and integrity with these awards. I also think you accomplish so well that which you ultimately set out to do and that is promote Jewish bloggery. I am sorry that I have to feel the way I feel. I did try not to this year. I just wish everyone IN the contest would have to get a user's manual so they, too, could get what you've said here. The votes mean NOTHING! It's the fact that you're helping drive people through the J-sphere that means everything.

I couldn't agree more, Dave. And thanks again for all your hard work.
