About to Pass Over
This year’s Passover festival is fast approaching, and the Israellycool family is heading down South to celebrate with Marty Roberts and gang.
You know the drill. Blogging will be light for the next few days..yada, yada, yada.
I would like to wish my Jewish readers and listeners a Chag Kasher V’Sameach. And not to forget my Christian readers and listeners Рa happy Easter to all of you.
In the meantime, here is some Passover-related stuff for your information and enjoyment.

Ever wondered how to break matzvah exactly in half? Wonder no more!
Passover Cleaning
On Passover, a Jew is not allowed to own any Chametz (leavened bread). We therefore clean out our houses. Although “dust” is not Chametz, many go overboard and actually do their Spring cleaning.
With that in mind…

Chag pesach semeach!
Oh, I could’va used the tips on cleaning this past weekend.
A friend of mine is asking how the IDF handles Passover and other major holodays… besides letting the Egyptians and Syrians overrun their positions while they’re out on holiday, of course.
Thought I’d pass the question along to you, since you happen to be there. Personal experiences with how the IDF handles holidays? (I’m too lazy to pull out my phone and call the Kool Hotline, let alone remember how I registered for comments here.)

Chag Sameach! I hope you have a great holiday, and are surrounded by family in the south. Eilat? I miss it. Have a great pesach!
The IDF’s rabbinical staff, with numerous people in reserves, starts going through the tasks of kashering all the base kitchens before pesach. It’s not fun. Lots of work and complicated, as they do have to kasker a lot of utensils and kitchen equipment and do not have completely separate pesach kitchens to simply switch over too.
And now……………………..
…………………………….. back to our show!
