Same idea as RSS, but customizable so you send what you want people to see, and only send as often as you want, so people aren't spammed.2) Offer a link to a newsletter fyi page at the bottom of each post, and a subscription box on the upper left of the site.3) Try a readership rewards program: more active, more loyal readers get access to twice monthly features. Like a pay subscription service, but rather than money, you want them to comment more and/or show loyalty.
