I would remove When Harry met Sally and add Airplane. Otherwise I own almost half of those on DVD.
Respectable list. But I think you unintentionally left out Spaceballs. Also, I would replace Army of Darkness with Evil Dead 2. Next time I see you I need to give you Wet Hot American Summer.
Spaceballs only just missed out, but would definitely be in my top 25.
I have not seen Evil Dead 2, but if it beats Army of Darkness, then I need to see it.
How about providing your top 20 list on your blog?
i wince with the mention of bill and ted’s excellent adventure… why not replace it with ( and i’m not a perv i swear) private parts?
Because I LOVE Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and would easily make my top 10.
Pretty good list. I would have to add the Blues Brothers. If pressed, I guess I’d pull out Zoolander to make room. Oh, and Spinal Tap. Spinal Tap has to be there too (and I’m speaking only out of pure objectivity, this is not merely my opinion). But then I suppose you’ll say we still have to keep the budget balanced so take off Army of Darkness, or maybe Clerks.
Not a huge fan of the Blues Brothers, although my discovery that Dan Aykroyd is a pro-Israel mensch makes me want to like it more.
I can’t recall ever seeing Spinal Tap, believe it or not.
Sounds like a plan. Evil Dead 2 is the second in the trilogy which ends with Army of Darkness. It’s like the greatest movie EVER.
AbbaGav, TAKE OFF CLERKS!?!?!?! FOR SHAME!
How about adding Life of Brian, Tin Men, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Ace ventura Pet Detective number 1.
I totally forgot Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and have now included it at the expense of Wayne’s World. I would not include the others though.
That’s a pretty good list and I’ve seen all but a few. Spaceballs needs to be on there. And what about It’s a Mad Mad Mad World?
hi Dave! Very cool list of comedy *wink*
my top 5 comedy movies:
Ace Ventura 2
The Big Lebowski
Clerks
P.S. I Love You
and Shrek
