Goodbye Cruel World

Oh the pain, the pain! Not only did the Aussies match it with the Italians, but it looked like we might actually win the game after Italian defended Marco Materazzi was red carded not long after the half-time break. But a poor refereeing decision a few seconds from the end has cruelly ended Australia’s World Cup.

From here on…go Ghana!

Oy! The officiating has been horrible this year. The Russian Ref for the Netherlands/Portugal game had bad calls, missed things and couldn’t even keep up at times. (I saw that game, not Italy/Australia.)

Sorry that Australia lost and at the cost of human error.

    I agree – - go Ghana!

That’s very unfair. As we all know italians are expert in buying matches and bribing referees.

Anyway Argentina is winning this world cup so don’t worry.

Went to see the match at the irish pub with a bunch of Italian friends… They weren’t happy that I was wearing my Australian flag shirt, but at the end of the match all the happy Italians did come over to say the Aussie team had played very well …

Too bad that Ghana didn’t win either.

I missed this one, it seems.

Poor choice. But could be excused in the circumstances.

Oh, and compliments about that picture. Nice gal, I have even thought she is a Brazilian for a moment ;-)
