Hi Pete,

Wow, trying to trip me up in regards to the "claim" that you are an anti-semite. Nice try, it wont work. I said your moral equilivence disgusts me and that you would be at home with those who espouse those types of arguments. It is your moral equivilence that utterly disgusts me and repulses me.

Citing CNN as a source of news is ironic given that Eason Jordan admitted to aiding Dictator Saddam Hussein in hiding his crime. Not to mention the latest broohaha with Nic Robertson. However, let it also be known that Hezbullah USED that same UN building as well. Little Green Footballs documents it from UN Press Releases and the Canadian Prime Minister. Here is the links:

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=21787&only&rss - Prime Minister responds to Kofi Annan's Condemnation of Israel.

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=21786&only&rss - Canadian General - Unobserve Post used by Hezbullah

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=21784&only&rss - Hezbullah firing from UN Positions

Then there is the pic that I believe was posted at this very website showing the UN compound and inside that UN compound next to the UN flag was the Damned Hezbullah flag waving!

The UN are at war with Israel. Israel should be fighting this war much more fiercly than it has. The fact that Israel is not means that Israel will have to fight this war alot longer than it has to be, IMHO.

The Canadian officer killed in the IDF attack at Khiam appears to have been Major Paeta Hess-von Kruederer.

Fatefully, he had sent an email to CTV News which was published on their website (it's still there). I provide for your consideration (without further comment), his own words about IDF targeting:

"What I can tell you is this: we have on a daily basis had numerous occasions where our position has come under direct or indirect fire from both artillery and aerial bombing. The closest artillery has landed within 2 meters of our position and the closest 1000 lb aerial bomb has landed 100 meters from our patrol base. This has not been deliberate targeting, but has rather been due to tactical necessity."

And another thing...if you want to taut the anti-semitism card and say it doesn't exist by being anti-Israel....just take a look at the message below in this blog. Anti-semitism suddenly seems to be no longer a taboo in America...people have been blogging everywhere "If you get rid of Israel and the jews, there would be no problems in this world" and "Now I can understand why the Nazis commited the Holocaust". If you don't believe that being anti-Israel is being anti-Jewish than I suggest you distinguish yourself from the clear anti-semites who are using the problems in the middle east to justify their hatred towards jews.

Cameron,

Somehow you seem to know all about how to take care of terrorism. You say you are okay with going after the terrorists and apparently are a genius in how to solve the problem as well. As you sit in your home from California and haven't had rockets fired on you on a daily basis for the past 6 years from a terrorist organization that calls for you to be wiped off the map in what was a supposed land for peace exchange, you somehow have figured out how to create peace. Where were you making a big stink when Hezbollah was stockpiling weapons with ball-bearing to use solely at Israeli civilians over the past 6 years? Perhaps there wouldn't be so many lebanese causulties, which Israelis don't want to see either, if the rest of the world did something to prevent Hezbollah from becoming more powerful!

People didn't through up their arms in World War 2 when 30,000 Germans were killed within a few hours. People also didn't raise a big stink about the US going after bin Ladin in which over 3500 people were killed. If you want to address disproportionate responses, its the people who did NOTHING to address terrorist regimes from becoming more powerful and suddenly have something to say while sitting on their fat asses a thousand miles away.

Oh my. 70%, you say? We're at bloody war, and nobody seems to get it yet. It's long, long past Dresden time - we're fighting a genocidal enemy and we handle them with silk gloves! Unbelievable, especially considering the fact that we're surrounded by other enemies - and yes, every Arab state is an enemy. with most of Europe soon to join them - who would also happily genocide us. This is so unbelievably stupid... what do you do with a genocidal enemy? You crush it, destroy it's house, and interrogate all of its family and friends to find out whether they have aided and abetted. And then you hang its head on the gates - lema'an yiru ve-yirau.
The Arabs live and die by "honor" and might. And to them might=honor, and the ability to oppress is also honor. Were we to show them that we have more might and we can and will oppress them if they give us shit, we'd have honor. These people need to be crushed to dust.
Pfah... gibor Yisrael, ayeka?

So let me see if I get it. Fighting will not solve the problems of attacks and not fighting hasn't worked either.
So here is what i propose Israel fights until the Israelis are dead or the Arabs surrender. That should settle it.

that is the most absurd analogy i have ever heard. World War Two was a "total war." We were fighting entire NATIONS not a cluster of individuals within that nation.

carpet bombing of cities was intended to kill civilians, but to destroy factories and industrial production. Also, carpet bombing was the only strategy available, because the technology was so primitive compared to today. They dropped bombs that just fell and exploded wherever they happened to land, based on an optical bomb sight on the bottom of the plane.

to compare the hezbollah attacks with the nazi invasion of an entire fucking continent is simply a joke, and i think you know it.
