Who’s Afraid of Silly Old Ball Bearings?

One of the dangers of the 24 hour media cycle is that we tend to fancy ourselves well-informed about the most granular aspects of world events. This is dangerous because once we think we know something it becomes difficult to disabuse ourselves of that notion.
For instance, nearly every network has provided detailed explanations of how the Hezbollah rockets do their damage. We have heard scholarly discussions of these non-guided weapons packed with explosives and ball bearings, and how they are designed to spray the area where they hit with thousands of these small round projectiles.
The problem is that while bullets are firmly inscribed in our minds as unquestionably lethal… we inevitably associate ball bearings (no matter how they are used), with bicycles, roller skates and other ‘safe’ pastimes.
In short, we don’t really ‘get’ what all the fuss over ball bearings could possibly be.

You shouldn’t aim to make people be a “pro-something”, but it’s best to work for a non-violent cause that will stop srael and Hizbullah from claiming many innocent lives both in Israel and Lebanon. It really doesn’t matter if one’s Jew, Muslim or whatever. True Judaism and Islam are religions that do not advocate the killing of innocent lives. Shalom/Assalamu Alaykum/Peace be with you.

I’m a Lithuanian man, who lived under a mild-mannered Russian occupation for 11 years. I know exactly how Palestinians feel. And Isrealis are many times worse than Russians. You are agressors with a fascist religion. I wish you all the worst in the future.
What occupation, Mr. Lithuanian? The Israelis are on land they have lived on for 3000 years, before there was an Allah, before there was a Muslim, before there was a Palestine. There is no Palestine. There are no Palestinians. There are Israeli Arabs, Jordanian Arabs, etc. The Arabs who left Israel in 1948 or who are living in “Palestine” are only facing the consequences of listening to the Arab states at the time rather than living in peace in Israel, with productive jobs, plenty of food, and all of the rights of citizens.
Ive been having this argument on Youtube for the better part of a week, The video is of George Galloway making his usual anti-Israeli outbursts regardless of the facts. Typlical to form the Pro-palis and pro Hezbollah have resorted to name calling and MAKING STUFF UP- It would be good if there more were Pro Israelis in the frame so here is the URL ( my youtube name is HIGHLANDS)

You have obviously not spent much time reading the Koran.
You know that Israel has done something truly horrific when a Lithuanian is repulsed by their actions. After all the country has such a long history of welcoming jews. Ok so Lithuania stood by silently as the one of the largest and most sophisticated Jewish Communities in Eastern Europe was exterminated during world ward two, but hey not everyone can act like the Danes , or for that matter the Dutch who at least put up token resistance. And so what if the Lituanians worked in the concentration camps participated in concentrating the population and help expropriate the property of the deported jews. Times were tough. They are truly self reflective people and they can certainly recognize biased uneducated hatred… as they see when they look in the miror at every day. 52 out of 54 or my jewish lithuanian relatives died in Eastern European concentration camps, one of the two went to israel, the other was saved by the french pows who claimed him as their own because he was math professor who spoke french.
I am a convert to Islam. The greatest Jihad of a Muslim(it means struggle, not holy war), is to be a good person to others. Come on. Jews and Muslims believe in the same G-d (I know that some Jews do not like to write His name because He is the Most High, and I respect that). In Judaism, there is also a fate for those who are evil and for those who do not respect G-d and believe in Him. I am not here to prove that my religion is better than yours. I am not trying to compete with you. This is not a Judaism vs Islam thing. I want to tell you that we are similar in many ways, so we must stop fighting. We both believe in monotheism. We must instead unite to stop the violence in Israel and the rest of the Middle East.
I’m just curious but what does Israel pack its rockets and missles with? and if ball bearings are so efficient shouldn’t Israel be packing ball bearings too?
Hmmm…..just went to “Bible Gateway” to check, and in the entire Bible (both testaments, me being a born-again Christian
[John 3:3] ), I find a single mention of “Palestine” — Joel 3:4. The entire chapter that that is in, is really cool. 
Those who “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122), really ought to look it up.
