Have decided to vote for Will McBride--have spent the day researching the Republican options and talking to people from the respective offices, with McBride we know where he will stand on Israeli land rights as he is a Baptist, a Christian of the evangelical camp called "dispensationalists" and they are unwavering regarding Israel--and very pleased with what I've learned about this young lawyer and former teacher, a man with a servant's heart and who knows what he believes. --FloridaChristian

Uh, I live in Florida and actually know several of the candidates running for the Senate seat Harris is seeking, and as an evangelical know of the differences within Christendom regarding role of church in politics and regarding Israel. Harris is under scrutiny for ethical violations and is theologically confused, BUT may be the most pro-Israel candidate (she's being tugged by churches of the 2 competing theologies within Christendom on it). Should she even win the Republican primary (and she might because the others will split the vote), she will then face incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson who IS ON THE SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE and seems to be CAVING IN TO ANTI-ISRAEL PRESSURE (CAIR has a regional office here and is very active) and changing his traditionally pro-Israel position, based on emails I've received from his office. Thus, this seat is critical ! One of the guys opposing Harris, Pete Monroe, seemed like he would be strongly pro-Israel, but has lost much evangelical support by bashing Harris irresponsibly, rather than based on the merits. What to do--I never ever thought I'd vote for Harris, but I might have to given Nelson's pretty hardened change of heart and no viable alternative right now.--FloridaChristian (p.s. best book to understand Christian Zionism comprehensively: The Zion Connection by McQuaid)

I recognize a friend when I see one, Harris is not one. Harris and her ilk (George Bush included), threaten the secular nature of the United States. It is this secular nature that protects Jews and other minority religions.

Here is what you said.

"Harris was not directing her remarks against Jews, at least not Jews who really are Jews. "

So, I am not really a Jew?? It is not my heritage, my beliefs, my very soul that makes me Jewish. It is you that will make that determination.

You have proven my point. This typifies the audacity of the Christian Right, and why it is a threat to Jews in the United States and world wide.

Well, thanks for spitting in the eye of your Christian supporters. That's very nice, and we thank you kindly.
The fact is that the Democrat party in the USA is trying its damnedest--and I do mean that literally--not only to legislate sin but to glorify it. And that includes supporting terrorist Islam, and condemning Israel.
Harris was not directing her remarks against Jews, at least not Jews who really are Jews. You must remember that in my country many people who loudly and publicly claim to be Jews are also repudiating Judaism to embrace new age "a boy is a butterfly is a rock nonsense" (e.g. Norman Lear), and publishing things such as "Imagine a world without Israel".
No, Harris is not a moron. She's right. And you might do well to think about her words, and to recognize a friend when you see one.

A moron, yes she is. Along with her friend, the president of the United States, who believes similar bullshit. This is what the Republican party represents.

compared to mayor naggin she's the picture of decorum. If that man can get elected Harris should be a shoe in. PS. I'm not grieving for Louisana if they get hit again. They relelected that bone head, only because his opponent was white. They deserve what they get.

Hey, lay off the Hail Mary stuff. She's not even Catholic. She is, however, a complete moron.

Assuming she's Roman Catholic :)

Don't know what the going rate for sins are now, but when I was a young girl I'd get ten Hail Mary's for fighting with my brother, so I guess she'd be giving the rosary beads a workout.
