The Lowest Common Denominator

Aussie Dave

I guess now that their photo doctoring has been exposed, they are resorting to more tried and tested ways to influence public opinion against Israel.

A Lebanese woman walks past the rubble in the southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, that was heavily attacked by Israeli bombardment during the 34-day long Hezbollah-Israel war. (AP Photo/Mahmoud Tawil)

Unbelievable.

Update: This looks like the follow-up picture:

Hezbollah legislator Ali Ammar, right, gestures towards damaged buildings as Iran’s vice president Ali Saeedlou, left, visits an area in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, which was repeatedly attacked by Israeli forces in the 34-day Israeli-Hezbollah conflict, Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006.

This is so weird. There are still wrecked buildings in Lebanon? And here I just finished like 15 articles that all said that Hezbollah had already repaired up all of South Lebanon. The impression I got from these journalists is that Hezbollah is so efficient and good and caring that they had some left over money that they’re now going to donate to orphaned kittens. Or something.

Anyway, at this point I don’t care if the story is going to be that evil Israelis totally wrecked Lebanon beyond all repair or that the weak Israelis were so pathetic that Hezbollah has already rebuilt everything. But in fairness to the rest of us, the press should have to choose one and stick with it.

Oh bless. She looks so sad about the destruction of her neighbourhood.

But wait - if you match up the scar under one eye and the birthmark on the other side of her face you’ll find it’s YET ANOTHER picture of that same woman screamin’ in Qana -ah the perfidy!

What, you weren’t looking at her face?

What were you looking at? Her face?

    Yes.

When are you people going to see the folly of your racist ways? Until you deal with the apartheid premise that the state of Israel is built upon and start respecting your neighbors then you are doomed. Alternatively why don’t you sod off back to Golders Green or Florida (or wherever you have your second homes) and live like normal people?

Looks like Ahmadinejad has starting posting comments to your blog under the name of Kieran.

Welcome Mahmoud! How’s the Holocaust cartoon exhibition going?

The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel.

So, Kieran, which Arab or Muslim nation would you care to boast about today?

    From Israel’s Proclemation of Independance:

“We appeal - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.”

Arpartheid? In the words of Inigo Montoya, ” You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. “

Dang! Israel and Lebanon have the hottest women on earth. Is there any greater reason for peace between the two countries than the opportunity to enjoy such lovely scenery?

Lebanese women shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath as the beautiful Israeli women. Lebanese women don’t even come close.
