Death of a Great Bloke

Steve Irwin
1962-2006
While the seemingly indestructible “Crocodile Hunter” always seem to flirt with danger, it was not a crocodile that killed him in the end. Steve died after a stingray barb went through his chest, a death the doctor who treated him called “highly unusual”.
He is survived by his American-born wife Terri and their two children, Bindi Sue, born 1998, and Robert (Bob), born December 2003. I extend my condolences to them.
As Australian Prime Minister John Howard said today:
“He was the genuine article. What you saw was what you got…He took risks, he enjoyed life. He brought immense joy to millions of people, particularly to children, and it’s just such a terrible loss.”
And in the times that we live in, we can all do with more joy.
G-d bless you, Steve.

As a nature and animal lover I feel terribly sad. Is a terrible loss.
Condoleances to his family. G-d bless you Steve
Just imagine what he could have taught his children. They are so very young, but now all they will have is his shows to remember him by. Sad.
A great man has passed from this world. If there ever was a living spirit of Australia, it was Irwin. But hey – I recon that for him, this was a good death: he died the same way he lived.
May he rest in peace.
G-d bless you Steve.
You will be missed.
My kids absolutely adored him. Frankly, I thought that he was kind of cool, too! How incredibly sad…………..
