Behind the Fatalities
Honey I’ll be your shelter
I’ll be the one to take you through the night
Whenever you need shelter
I’ll make everything all right
- Taylor Dayne, I’ll Be Your Shelter (1990)
Most palestinian civilians killed during IDF operations are not killed due to disproportionate force. They are killed due to disproportionate stupidity.
A Palestinian militant moves into position as civilians look on during an Israeli army raid in the village of Qabatiya, near the West Bank town of Jenin, Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006.

What are the civilians waiting for? All they’re missing is the popcorn.
And I’m sure the terrorists aren’t warning them to take shelter. It suits them just fine that their people are liable to be hit by Israeli fire.
Just recall these pictures when you read about a palestinian being killed during an IDF operation. It might just provide some needed perspective.

Oh, boy, they’ve believed the UN tripe of war as spectator sport…
What does it say on his T-shirt?
Looks like “SHMERAL” or “SHMUCK” to me
There is another reasonable explanation: these are scenes from a movie being made. As soon as the guy is done researsing the scene, the crowd will be moved back, and the director will yell “Action!”.
cud just be me but looks like whoever took that photo was sitting in the middle of the street
if black shirt guy is taking cover from fire behind that corner, our camera man is probably dead by now, so i think im with zzmike on this one
nice try though
LGF has a photo of the same people one month ago.
Disproportionate stupidity
Aussie Dave notes the real reason Palestines civilians die during IDF operations: Most palestinian civilians killed during IDF operations are not killed due to disproportionate force. They are killed due to disproportionate stupidity. The pictures Dave…
Hmm… If the photographer was using a disposable camera then he probably would have had to stand in the street, but any self respecting journalist would have a camera capable of zooming in from much further away from that. (Although it wouldn’t suprise me if the photo had been taken by one of the his ‘associates’ to put up on the mantle piece).
However, a long zoom lens of the type needed for the photographer to be out of the range of the gunfire would produce a much shorter depth of field than is apparent in that picture.
