Sounds like the sad tale of someone who bravely struggled to cope with life, but, in the end, capitulated to their inner demons and ended it all.
That is, until you read the report.
Afghan Australians would not be deterred from assisting their former homeland despite the death of a provincial governor, Australian citizen Hakim Taniwal, in a suicide bombing, a friend and community spokeswoman said.Mr Taniwal, 61, the governor of Paktia province in eastern Afghanistan, was killed yesterday in a suicide attack outside his office, along with his nephew and chief bodyguard.
