Salam wa aleikum y’all..Canadian public broadcaster CBC hopes to lighten religious tensions between Canada‚Äôs Christian majority and Muslims with a new sitcom, Little Mosque on the Prairie. The show is a parody of the acclaimed US drama Little House on the Prairie (1974-1983).A fictional Muslim family will be shown struggling to find their place in a post-September 11, 2001, world.
It remains to be seen whether this will be a riot..or cause one.

Yet another waste of taxpayers money.
In truth, the CBC is usually not successful with sitcoms (sketchcoms is more their thing).
Oh, and Canadians do not say “y’all”.
Lighten tensions??? Only if the Christians become Muslims will the tensions be lightened. Oh yes were talking Canada eeehhhh.
No one is going to watch it because it’s on the CBC. This also means it won’t get cancelled anytime soon due to low ratings. That’s what Canadian tax Dollars are for. Funding pointless tv shows that are supposed to ‘preach’ to us.
I can just picture part of the transcript -
The family is sitting around the table, eating breakfast.
Abdel, the boy – “Why is there no bread? In the name of Allah, give me some bread!”
The father, Abdul – “The Zionists have taken our bread, my son! Fight them however and whereever you can, because they are the brothers of monkeys and pigs!”
The mother, Fatima – “Oh, Abdul, stop it. It’s on the counter over there, honey.”
The father – “I’ll punish you for blaspheming against Islam, you Zionist sympathizing, illuminati harlot!”
– Father beats wife infront of kids –
Now that was the “extremist” version.
predictable response.
