When the Sheik Hits the Fan
Australian (cat) meathead Mufti, Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilaly, has seemingly recovered from his heart problems, proffering advice on how he should be dealt with.
Embattled senior Muslim cleric Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilaly has hit back at the storm of controversy surrounding his comments comparing women to meat by suggesting an “ethical court” be set up to try him.Sheik al-Hilaly has called for a judge, two lawyers and two translators to form a court, which would listen to the recording of his Ramadan sermon.
He has said that he will retire from his position if the court finds him guilty of condoning rape or suggesting women are to blame for sexual assaults.
He has also said he will perform 600 hours of community service and wear masking tape over his mouth in public for six months as a penalty.
Maybe he should also wear masking tape over his zipper. You know, with all of that enticing, uncovered cat meat roaming around.
As for the community service, here’s a few suggestions:
I would also recommend that he be made to become well acquainted with a cat o’ nine tails.
Meanwhile..
In his sermon at Friday prayers at the Lakemba mosque in Sydney’s south-west, the sheik also called for nominations from other clerics for his role of mufti of Australia. The sheik had earlier promised supporters a “knockout” at his sermon.
I’m assuming she’ll be suitably covered up.

I don’t think him doing community service ata a battered women’s shelter would be such a good idea. If he thinks of women as cat meat, he probably adheres to that little verse in the Koran that says it’s okay to beat women.
Nope, he should be given a 10 minute slot on Australian TV every day to educate the world about the true messages of Islam. He is a perfect spokesman and very truthful. He should stick to his traditional interpretations of the Koran and Haditha and educate the world as to what real Islam is.
The only solution is to kick the bastard out!
All I can say is if this is the intellectual standard of their ‘Muftis’, reform is a long, long way away.
Just wish we could kick the bastard out. These flaccid pricks are causing changes that we once didn’t even think possible in Australia.
Aussie Dave, I’m amazed you guys have kept your sanity surrounded by such idiocy. Can’t imagine what it’s like for those ‘normal’ people who actually have to live in such societies.
Re: your last sentence:
Ouch.
Now, now, AD – you seem to be clearly biased in this case due to your local patriotism and thus a bit too cruel.
I suggest a much more lenient measure: let him become a mascot for our GLBT (or is it BLT, I keep mixing the two) community. To be carried on a pole during the parades and caged in between.
He will grow into it, I believe
