    Surely it’s a mistranslation – he probably said “they need to be blown sky-high” – and of course the Hebrew word for sky and heaven are the same….

    The whole story should be sorted out, I submit. How does one “provoke spirits”. Either Avigdor thinks they are already in the other world or in touch with spirits. Strange, that.

    I think he actually said “paradise”, and in that context it is clearly a mockery of what they believe. He’s like, “whatever you believe people, we’ll be happy to send you there.”
