It doesn’t take a genius: Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, currently visiting Israel, has noticed a marked deterioration in the situation in the Middle East since he last visited in 1990.
Amir Peretz has expressed the hope that “soon is the day that people will realize what an asset it is to have a socially-aware defense minister.” I think we realize this already; hence the calls to get rid of him. I will admit, though, that he got the letters right..he’s certainly a SAD minister.
Palestinian/Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has warned that early elections would lead to chaos. Which would make a change from the current situation of..err..chaos.
Meanwhile, Hamas is promising to “dress up” Bethlehem for Christmas. No word yet on whether this involves a Hijab and suicide bomb belt.

Well, between Hawking and Peretz we definitely have one fully functioning brain, so we have some hope still…
Could the earlier visit by Hawking have caused the deterioration in the Middle East? This needs scientific investigation.
