You get a present, wear a funny hat, friends come over for pizza and you mother wishes you’d live to 120.

And as far as the kosher thing goes, I wonder if he would still adhear to the laws of the Old Testament, considering himself to be the New Testament (didn’t people get pissed off at him for working miracles on the Sabbath?)

I believe that was a case of violating the Sabbath by making a salve. See John 9:14.

He most probably was similar to today’s Reform Jews: do what you want.

This, of course, is assuming that at least these tales in the new testament are not fiction.
