Bet You Didn’t Know They Were Jewish #1

Introducing a new series on Israellycool, in which I post the identity of someone who is Jewish…and not obviously so.

But first I’ll begin with a couple of clues:

  • Is a two-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter
  • Has sold over 100 million records worldwide as of 2008
  • Kept his homosexuality secret due to worries over the effect it would have on his (Jewish) mother
  • Is known to be careless outside
  • You can call him Yorgos

And the mystery Jew is…..

    This is a GREAT feature. Please keep it up! I do the same for my Russian Immigrant son. Interestingly most of the Russian immigrants I point to (famous) are ALSO Jewish! Hummm! See what Russia hath wrought! Or I should say the brain drain they have lost because of their governments!

    I just wish he would quit the drugs & tour in America!
