I thought the same thing as everyone else, but an army friend pointed out that Peretz is simply holding night-vision goggles that use a lens-cap-resembling filter for daylight usage.

Like I said, Hizbullah has been dealt a severe blow and we sent them to the dark ages…look, not one can be seen.
As a former soldier, I can verify that those are NOT night-vision goggles. (Why would he use night-vision in the day?)
