The source is the one indicated in the Ha'aretz link - SANA.

Don't you even bother to read the links you provide?

And yes, someone does look like a biased chump. But that's what you're about.

The Ha'aretz report about which I posted contains no such quote suggesting this was the reason for Syria rejecting the initiative. So you can't accuse me of being dishonest. Also, note to whom the Syrian Foreign Ministry official made the comment - to SANA, Syria's official news agency. Comments made to their own public carry far more weight than any comments made to appease the US.

What IS your source? It always helps to link to the source of any "proof" you present, otherwise you just end up looking like a biased chump.

Well, you know, that might be why they block access to all sites with the .IL suffix in the address bar. But then again, I'm told I have no sense of "geopolitics".

A fine piece of hasbara Dave, though clearly not unintentional.

So which aspect of Suliemans comments did the Syrian offical reject? The peace part in the world according to Dave. The reality?

"Syria, which is keen on realization of just and comprehensive peace, has repeatedly rejected holding any secret talks or through unofficial channels."

Oh, so he was rejecting secret negotiations, not peace.

Well, I can see the appeal of your version Dave......for someone who is desperately seeking any reason to avoid peace with Syria. It's a common affliction amongst the ranks of the fanatical pro-Israel partisans.
