Invoking my inner geek…..

I guess I agree with most of the list (at least the ones I have seen), except I thought the Matrix 2 and 3 were pretentious, convoluted, and did not make sense. So for me, this ruined also the first movie in the franchise.

I would have included Return of the Jedi, Spaceballs, Sliders, Earth 2, and Red Dwarf. And I am sure I am forgetting some others.

Well, ya got my vote! I’m all for Matrix and Battlestar Galactica… my top two as well, actually! There are sequels that never should have been….. those unspeakable Star Wars ones.. The Matrix ones… and anything beyond the first 2 Alien movies…

It’s unfortunate when greed and a poor vision ruin a franchise.

I need to give Blade Runner another whirl… I even bought it recently…. as I have enver been able to get through it and never understood the fuss. And I’m all about the Harrison!

Matrix is overrated… However, what I would like to know is where is Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9 in all this?

    Dave,
You’re spot on about Jedi. I realize it was the least favorite of the original trilogy but I felt that it was the most dramatic. I would also have moved TNG up several spots, maybe even to #1. I was a huge TNG Trekker and I’m still upset that not a single one of the TNG movies was up to par. Also if you have “Wrath of Khan” than you have to throw in “Undiscovered Country”. Lastly, I hope the Starship Troopers on the list refers to the book and not the movie, cause the movie was an insult to the intellect and a mockery of sci-fi.
