With Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visiting Washington DC, US President George Bush spoke to the Queen at a special ceremony on the White House lawn…
“After all, you‚Äôve dined with 10 US presidents. You helped our nation celebrate its bicentennial in 17 – 1976.”
Drats! What can I do to rescue the situation?
“Umm, she gave me a look that only a mother could give a child.”
A short while later..
“You know your’e a f****** moron!”
For the humor impaired: This is one of my regular fake caption photo stories. Do not read into it any anti-Bush or anti-America sentiment on my part. For the record, I think Bush’s gaffe was hilarious, and he handled it very well. The Queen needs to quit acting like a right royal pain in the rump.

Are you referring to the Queen’s snottiness? If so, I think she is just a snob
If you are interpreting this post as snottiness on my part – or even worse a “F U America” – then I suggest you read more of my posts.
Tbh, I don’t think the Queen was particularly listening to him. And her “frosty” look was hardly different to her natural, neutral facial expression.
She said “good year” to him after the gaffe, suggesting she wasn’t even aware of the mistake, or was happy to make light of it.
Don’t be so quick to berate your Queen (and mine).
I think you are being too kind.
For the record, I do not like the Queen. What has she contributed to the world?
That picture with the queen in that sort of ridiculous floral top-hat thing is on the top of the Drudge Report with the caption, “FROSTY?”
Which leads me to wonder if other Drudge readers are, like me, involuntarily humming the refrain ” … there must have been some magic in that old silk hat she found…”
