Qassam Attack: May 17th, 2007
There seems to be no respite for Sderot, towards where 30 Qassams were directed yesterday. Already today, a number of Qassams have struck the western Negev, including one that struck a high school. Today’s wounded include a mother and her nine-year-old daughter who are suffering from shock.

So far tonight, 9 Qassam rockets have been fired at Israel, 7 hitting Sderot. A 44-year-old woman has been moderately to seriously wounded, and her 4-year-old son lightly hurt when one of the rockets scored a direct hit on their home. A rocket hit another house in Sderot, and another a schoolyard.

Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski urged the state on Tuesday to grant the family of East Jerusalem taxi driver Taysir Karaki, who was murdered Monday, the benefits reserved for families of terror victims. Lupolianski instructed the city’s social welfare department to aid the family.

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is in a coma, having been rushed to hospital after a blood clot was discovered in his brain.
