Jewcy Jumps the Shark
Jewish website Jewcy has joined fellow Jewish websites The Forward and Jew-Ish in providing another platform for publicity-seeking, Israel-bashing blogger Richard Silverstein. And he hasn’t wasted any time spreading his bile.
Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with inviting people with divergent views to guest post on your site. But Silverstein has proven time and time again that he is not interested in any honest dialogue. He has a very specific agenda, and his arguments do not hold up to any scrutiny. He knows this, and responds to critics by either a) hurling insults b) modifying his critics’ comments c) banning critics from commenting on his posts d) modifying his own posts on the sly e) trying to ruin the reputation of his detractors or f) all of the above.
Jewcy seemingly aims to be a young and hip Jewish website. Which makes Silverstein’s appointment even more of a mystery.

Last year you asked how to boost your traffic. Well Silverstein knows how to do it. Relentlessly promote yourself as a poor put upon lefty. He’s got a technorati rank of 165, but it’s lower than yours or mine. According to TTLB he has an impressive number of incoming links. But that’s probably due to his shameless self-promotion.

I didn’t see that, but then again I have only looked at Jewcy from time to time. My attention span for B-S is quite limited.

Love to be hated by people like you. Whatzamatta? jealous of my guest blogging at Jewcy? Why haven’t they invited you or any of yr commenter/blogger friends to do the same?
BTW, watch The Guardian where I’ve got a new piece coming out in a few days & next June I’ll have an essay published in a book about the Independent Jewish Voices project. Eat yr heart out boys!

Don’t flatter yourself. I do not waste my time hating you. I pity you.
As for guest posting at Jewcy, anyone can volunteer. So I am a bit confused as to why I should be jealous. (By the way, you must be loving Batya’s posts).
Given your constant attempts at attention and pleas to be published, I am not surprised some gave in and allowed you to spout your incomprehensible drivel.
As for the lawsuit, I currently do not have much time, given my wife is almost due, and I actually have a very demanding day job. But don’t worry. There is a statute of limitations on these things which would allow me to revisit this topic when I have the time.
