Former French President Jacques Chirac knows what killed Yasser Arafat and should make it public, an ex-Arafat aide said Saturday, reiterating that he believes his boss was poisoned by Israel.
I don’t think this was the case, unless “poisoned by Israel” encompasses “killed by a disease contracted by engaging in sodomy with multiple male partners, which may or may not have included farmyard animals.”
French doctors who treated Arafat said he died of a massive stroke after suffering intestinal inflammation, jaundice and a blood condition known as disseminated intravascular coagulation, or DIC.
Exactly – Arafat died from DIC.
Bassam Abu Sharif, a former Arafat aide, told reporters Saturday – on what would have been Arafat’s 78th birthday – that Chirac and Arafat’s French doctors know the real cause of death but decided to withhold it from the public for fear of further destabilizing the Middle East.
Abu Sharif said he believes Israel killed Arafat with a substance that destroys red blood cells. Asked for proof, he said he would reveal his sources if Chirac publicly denies his allegations.
Israel has vehemently denied involvement in Arafat’s death.
Abu Sharif spoke several days after a senior Hamas leader in Gaza, Mahmoud Zahar, alleged that Arafat was killed in a conspiracy between Israel and Palestinians close to Arafat.
And less than a month after Secretary-General of the PFLP General Command, Ahmad Jibril, confirmed that he died of AIDS.

You don’t have to practice gay sex to get AIDS. Do you have any other evidence that he practiced sodomy with males?
When a bad guy dies, it is more effective to stick rigorously to the facts (so far as you can discover them) than to throw fantasies around. I am certain that Arafat has plenty of real sins to his name.
The real question is, what lessons can people learn from this man’s life about how to select a leader? (After all, if he had spent his life as a taxi driver, nobody would care about his anti-semitic views.)

Thanks for the lecture, but if you cared to click on the link in the story, there is evidence that Arafat did engage in homosexual sex. I also heard these rumors time and time again. This is the basis of my post, and not just to fling mud at some dead, evil dude.

Arafat’s sexual proclivities were well and carefully documented by the former head of Romanian intelligence during Arafat’s stay in Romania, right down to Arafat’s nickname for his favourite bodyguard playmate, “tiger”.
