If your friend did meet a jerk than he/she must do something really bad that pissed him off. And Rickman must gives him/her his infamous glare. It's not fun to received it. So, he/she must held a grudge againts Rickman ;)That's the only making sense explanation i can ever thought of. As i know Rickman is quite a fair man. Directing Rachel Corrie could be because it was a deserving story or he was immensely moved by what she did. I can be quite certain to say to you that it's not because he defend either Palestinian or Israelian. I refuse to believe something like that unless he have spoken it himself.
