Quote of the Day

“I admit and confess. I was with those who strongly supported [former prime minister] Ariel Sharon, and today I say with my head held high: We erred, we made a very big mistake.”

- National Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer, talking about Israel’s disengagement from Gaza.

I’m glad he is honest about it, but not sure why he has his head held high.

Because unlike others who have held his position, he knows which way to hold binoculars.

Amir Peretz also knew which way to hold binoculars. He just left the covers on.

As for Fuad, normal moral self-respecting people would hang their heads in shame and resign from public life after such a confession.

He made no mistake holding his head up high. He’s no less arrogant than before, even more so.

I think that the idea of leaving Gaza is and was a good one. I would of liked to see it truly negotiated so that there would have been something given from the Palestinian side.
From a strategic standpoint, the split between two terrorist groups (Fatah and Hamas) should help Israel if the government had a clue as to how to exploit an enemy’s weekness.
Here is the true problem. Not the withdrawral from Gaza, but the Clueless government that is in power.
